R. D. Daugherty, Esq.

R. D. Daugherty is Managing Partner of Daugherty Law Group, a discrimination and personal injury law firm. He focuses predominantly on cases related to employment discrimination, auto/ truck collisions, wrongful death, and medical malpractice with a concentration in misdiagnosis, surgical errors, and anesthesia errors.

Prior to launching Daugherty Law Group, R. D. Daugherty clerked for the District Attorneys office in Forsyth County, North Carolina where he assisted the District Attorneys in court proceedings. He also gained invaluable experience clerking for the honorable Judge Willie Lovett  in Fulton County, Georgia where he drafted briefs, researched and summarized cases, and assisted judge Lovett in court proceedings.

R. D. Daugherty is a graduate of Wake Forest School of Law, located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He was born in Lawton, Oklahoma but grew up in Marietta, Georgia. R. D. Daugherty is a member of the American Bar Association ("ABA"), the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association ("CTLA"), the New York State Trial Lawyers Association ("NYSTLA"), and the American Association of Justice ("AAJ"). He is also a member of the Stamford, Connecticut  NAACP local branch.  R. D. Daugherty played basketball in Germany for four seasons prior to attending law school. He is a member of his hometown church, Turner Chapel, in Marietta, Georgia. In his free time, R. D. Daugherty enjoys spending time with his family, reading books about American history, playing with his dog, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
